Seed Grants

Made to Breathe is pleased to announce an opportunity for seed grants aimed at fostering innovative, community-driven projects that holistically address physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We invite organizations and initiatives embedded in their local communities to apply for funding to launch projects that champion local leaders, promote sustainability, and build resilience.

Who should apply

We encourage applications form underserved communities, including but not limited to Africa, Native American Tribal communities, veterans, and refugees or immigrant communities. Proposals that prioritize physical support (e.g., clean water, food, shelter, and healthcare) while also addressing emotional healing, generational trauma, and interpersonal conflict are highly encouraged. Projects must demonstrate a Christ-centered approach and include a sustainability plan detailing how seed funding will catalyze microenterprises or foster leadership training to promote long-term community impact.

Recent Grant Recipients

UKRAINIAN bible & CHAPLAINCY initiative

Made To Breathe recently awarded a grant for hospital chaplain training, ensuring that essential spiritual care is available to those impacted by the ongoing crisis in Russian occupied Ukraine. The initiatives provided by the grant recipients provided essential support for chaplains with the skills and knowledge necessary to minister to both soldiers and civilians in need of guidance, comfort, and emotional support.

Additionally, Made To Breathe has provided funding for digital Bibles, offering a crucial resource for spiritual nourishment in a time of great uncertainty. These digital resources make it easier for individuals to access the Word of God despite the challenges of the region, giving them a source of strength and hope.
